Dental Facebook ads that bring patients in

Most people put off the dentist until something hurts. Facebook ads for dentists reach them earlier, with a reason to book now: a new patient check-up, a whitening consult, or a Saturday appointment close to home.

Dental advertising has rules other industries don’t. AHPRA bans testimonials about clinical care, and Meta won’t run an ad that implies it knows someone’s health condition. We write every dental ad with both in mind, so your clinic gets bookings without a compliance headache.

Facebook works best alongside search, because patients with a toothache Google. We also run Google Ads for dentists and SEO for dentists. You can see the ads we’ve made for other businesses on our Brisbane social media marketing page.

What we set up in month one

Dental campaigns that fill the book

Four campaigns that suit general and cosmetic dental clinics.

New patient offers

A clear first-visit offer with the terms spelled out. It gives people a reason to book this month instead of next year.

Treatment-led campaigns

Separate ads for check-ups, whitening, clear aligners or implants, each one sent to the page for that treatment.

Close-to-home targeting

Most patients won’t drive past three other dentists to reach you. Spend stays inside the suburbs your patients actually come from.

Reminders for site visitors

People who looked at your treatments or booking page and left get a reminder to book, with opening hours and parking front and centre.

The rules dental ads have to follow

This is where most dental Facebook ads go wrong. Here’s what we work to on every campaign.

THE RULES

AHPRA and the National Law

Section 133 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law covers every registered dentist. In plain English, your ads can’t:

META'S POLICIES

Meta's health advertising rules

Meta adds its own layer on top, and ads that break it get rejected or quietly restricted:

We’re marketers, not lawyers. If you’re unsure about a claim, check AHPRA’s advertising guidance or ask your indemnity insurer before it runs.

Ads we've made for Brisbane businesses

We haven’t published a dental case study yet. These are ads we’ve made for other clients, so you can judge the creative for yourself.

How we run Facebook ads for dentists

Four steps, same for every client. What changes is the creative and the offer.

01

Fix the tracking first

We check your Pixel, Conversions API and lead flow before a cent goes on ads. If Meta can’t see who converts, it can’t find more of them.

02

Make a batch of creative

Hooks, offers and openers across Reels, Stories and feed, edited from footage of your work and your team, so it looks like you.

03

Launch and test

Location-based targeting and a fair test of each idea. We judge winners on enquiry quality and sales, not cost per click.

04

Scale what sells

Winners get budget, losers get cut, and fresh creative goes in before people tire of the old ads. You see it all in a live dashboard.

FAQs

What dental clinics ask us about Facebook ads.

Can dentists advertise on Facebook?

Yes, as long as the ads follow AHPRA’s advertising rules under the National Law and Meta’s health advertising policies. In practice that means no testimonials about clinical care, no misleading claims, and offers with the terms stated.

Not reviews about clinical care. Section 133 of the National Law bans testimonials in advertising for regulated health services, and that includes Google reviews about treatment. Reviews about things like friendly staff or easy parking aren’t caught by the ban, but we keep them out of ads to be safe.

Yes, if the terms are clear. A gift or discount in health advertising has to state its terms and conditions, so a new patient offer needs the price, what’s included and any conditions right there in the ad or on the page.

Google Ads catches people searching right now, usually with a problem. Facebook ads build bookings for check-ups and cosmetic work that people put off. Most clinics do best with both, and we run Google Ads for dentists too.

On bookings and cost per new patient, tracked through your booking form or system. Likes and reach don’t fill chairs, so we don’t report them as results.
